The 10th edition of West Colfax Lately is a milestone marking not just another issue, but another step forward in the evolution of our historic corridor. Progress may not always move as fast as we’d like—but every step forward is worth celebrating. West Colfax is in the midst of a significant transition—not only from the continuing growth and impact of 40 West Arts Creative District (page 26) and the inspirational reopening of Casa Bonita and its remarkable restoration (page 14), but also from major infrastructure projects (page 28) that will make this section of “Main Street Colorado” safer, more walkable, and more welcoming. This transition is underway. These are once-in-a-generation infrastructure and placemaking investments that will spark new energy, attract fresh investment, and shape the future of our community for decades to come.
